Clearing a home is never just about removing things — it's about doing so thoughtfully. At ECK, we understand that many of the items left behind carry emotional weight or personal history. That’s why we take a considered, ethical approach to disposal and recycling, ensuring everything is treated with care and respect. We don’t just clear, we protect memories, reduce waste, and give items a second life where possible.
How Our Recycling Service Works
Wherever possible, we ensure that belongings are given a second life, either by rehoming them or recycling them through trusted partners.
- Personal Documents & Records
Any sensitive or personal documents (such as bank statements, letters, or medical files) are securely destroyed. - Furniture & Household Goods Good quality furniture and usable household items are donated to local charities or community organisations, where they can help others and avoid landfill.
- Clothing & Textiles Wearable clothing and clean textiles are sorted and donated. Damaged items are sent to textile recycling where possible.
- Books & Media Books, DVDs, and other media are donated or passed to charities, schools, or libraries if appropriate.
- Recycling & Licensed Disposal Any remaining waste is taken to licensed recycling centres. We hold all necessary waste carriage licenses and provide full traceability and documentation on request.
Antique, Mid-Century, Retro and Vintage items
What sets us apart from other clearance companies is that we educate ourselves on the items we clear, we are certainly no David Dickinson's but we are confident enough to offer reasonable reductions on items we are able to sell on, with a particular interest in Antique, Mid-Century, Farmhouse pine style furniture, Retro and Vintage items.
